Why come: The Pacific Islands chapter of AFS was started with the goal of growing and connecting a broader fisheries community through-out the Pacific Islands. A community where fisheries professionals, academics, and students can come together to collaborate, share, and learn in a supportive environment. Annual chapter meetings of AFS are an important part of the existence of the chapter. These meetings serve multiple purposes some of which, in addition to a space for sharing science and networking, include a chapter business meeting where members can provide input and vote on the goals of the chapter for the next year, and the transition of new chapter leadership roles. Participation of members is crucial to the success and longevity of the chapter, we hope you can attend!!
